Frustrated with Social Media Yet
A lot of people today really don’t know how to use
Social Media to promote their message or sell their
goods and services, and its beginning to get under
my skin. They just carry over what they think they
know about marketing and pound relative strangers
with similar sounding offer after offer after offer.
The only people I know who respond to blatant pitches
like that are people who are doing the same thing.
They must think that’s the only way. Maybe they
haven’t heard we’re in the information age.
I think we’re getting to the point now where there’s
way too much information. We don’t need pitches. We
need people. People we can trust to cut through the
hype and the noise.
The key to using Social Media is in creating win/win
relationships that position you as the “go to” person
in your field or niche. Period.
That’s always been effective in business, but it was
a time-consuming, or expensive process before. Now it
doesn’t have to be. Once you know how to do it right
you can do it on a massive level with Social Media.
Lately I’ve been hanging around young entrepreneurs who
grew up on Social Media. They don’t have to learn it.
They’ve lived it and helped make it what it is. They
understand the culture. They understand the market.
Tonight at 9 pm Eastern four of these success-minded
Young Guns are going to give you a taste of what is
possible via a free teleseminar. They’re all in their
20’s.
Maybe you’ve heard of Russell Yermal, Bradley Will,
Arthur Tubman or Gabe Strom, or maybe not. You will.
But if you want to start de-bunking the myths about how
to build giant yet responsive Facebook and Twitter
followings and how to get people to listen to your message
without spending an arm and a leg or using silly spammer
tools.
